Vietnam's first oil refinery, Dung Quat, reported on Thursday that it has sold its one millionth tonne of products, all meeting design quality standards, during its ongoing trial operation period which began in February of this year.
By December 2, the refinery, located in the central province of Quang Ngai, had produced 1.14 million tonnes of various products.
This included 95,600 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), 10,260 tonnes of Propylene, 462,000 tonnes of A92 and 45,300 tonnes of A95 petrol, 67,300 tonnes of kerosene, and 437,400 tonnes of diesel.
It has imported a total of 1.67 million tonnes of crude oil for processing.
The refinery's main contractor, Technip, will hand over operations to the Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company Limited, which is owned by the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, next month.
